They keep lying and telling me they are going to send me my refund, but it looks like I have to take them to small claims court.

This company is horrific. It is managing a property that is violating housing codes at ***************************************. The apartment does not have a thermostat, no heat, moved in on sept 14 th, 2021 from online application. Site unseen. I was told I was renting the two bedroom downstairs apartment in the front of the home. Turns out its not ready for tenants, despite the advertisement and picture scam. Criminal. Our apartment has been without AC for two months and regularly smells like sewage. They keep slapping random fees on our account, but their website is broken so we can't actually tell what the fees are. They prey on lower income households and expect they will never be taken to court.

They tried to steal money from my sister. She sent them a check for the rent and for weeks they claimed they never received it. Eventually my sister just paid online even though she already didnt trust them. She cancelled the check and spoke to someone who agreed to make a note not to cash the check. Guess what? They attempted to cash the check anyway and my sister is left without money for two days while her bank gets the money back.
