I have gone to Dr. Scumpia for probably 10 years. My thyroid was causing a lot of crazy problems when I first went to see her. I think Dr. Scumpia is a good, very competent doctor. However, if you're looking for someone to spend time talking to you to get a warm fuzzy feeling, this isn't the place. She is very matter of fact, which was always fine with me. Having had an endocrinologist experience over the past months that seemed lacking in diagnosis and treatment, I sought another opinion from Dr. Scumpia. Didn't check reviews first or I might have backed out. So glad I had the opportunity to experience her care. My original review gave her highmarks. She or her office staff cut and pasted my review onto other physician review applications i.e. vitals etc. Here is my updated review after being her patient for 2 months. She is a disgrace to her profession. She is motivated by greed. Her narcissistic personality is beyond belief. I will be reporting her to the Texas Medical Board.
