Dr.Sim treated my cyclic vomiting syndrome and abdominal pain/nausea as an eating disorder. years later have been diagnosed with MALS and gastroparesis. and have ptsd from the way she and her team treated me
I was treated in the inpatient setting by Dr. Sim for an eating disorder. Worst program I have ever experienced and not the right way to tract an eating disorder at all. Very consequence focused for not finishing even one bite of food. She isn’t even a medical doctor and was leading my whole treatment. I still have nightmares. Do not let this woman treat you for an eating disorder.
I would not recommend this doctor. She showed complete disregard for my values. While I was in an inpatient setting, I expected to be treated fairly and properly. Instead, I was treated like a prisoner! I was so traumatized by experiences with her and other Mayo Clinic doctors that I cannot put into words how much damage was done. If you are looking for person-centered care, I would recommend you look elsewhere!
