We had an open hole in our ceiling for about 3 weeks. One of the bedroom windows leaked when it rained. It smelled like smoke after the new paint smell and new carpet smell disappeared. When we left we discovered mold had grown on the walls behind where our couch was, and both bedroom closets. You could see daylight through the "seal" around the front door. I just moved out last month. Definitely not somewhere you want to live. The only positive thing I can say is that it's a roof over your head. The management is NOT responsive to anything unless it is an EMERGENCY. Even then, I wouldn't count on them. Any "maintenance" done was not done well and/or not completed. Repairs are a joke. The whole (non-smoking) unit stank with smoke. There was mold around one of the bedroom windows, both closets, and along the living room wall.
