I would not deal with at all they do not stand behind their places. Very unprofessional. Refused to make necessary repairs went months without a stove washer dryer. Then when you move out they talk a lot of crap. Trying to keep my security deposit I even sent a letter disputing because was never in my apt but charged me for blinds that was never in the place I even had what they call is a charge for what? Renae and Katy are very kind and understanding as long as you arent shady, follow the rules, are clean & respectful. I've developed a great relationship with them over the last 16 months and as long as I am in the Big Rapids area I will likely rent with them!
Literally worst landlord ever. I wish people would read these reviews more and realize that they are evil. 10/10 would not recommend EVER. They tried charging me for things not in my lease, she would drive by to see if I had a dog at my house. Not only that but they “lost” forwarding addresses and our deposits are “lost” as well! Evil evil evil! Don’t rent with them!!!!!!!!

You really don't want to go there! They will refuse to fix things. Their neglect caused damage to my property and they refused to pay for the repairs. Then they will blame you for damages so they can keep your deposit...they have been known for this for over 20 years...a friend warned me while I was renting from them. And if your end up in court don't think it will be fair...the judge is probably in their pocket. Never rent from these people!!!!! They don't giv you a copy of the lease when you first move in. They made us resign our lease two months after moving in. The land lord just walks right into the apartment without notice. Yells at you if you don't contact her but then turns around and never contacts you. They overcharge for the apartments they rent and illegally split the utilities between upstairs and downstairs units when they are supposed to have their own meters. The list goes on....
Silvernail is awful. Renee and sue are rude whenever you talk to them. They won't send someone to get things fixed in the apartment until a week or so later. The maintenance lady is sue's sister so she's just as rude. She also has no idea what she's doing. A gas line ran right through the house. In order to turn on the stove you have to turn on the gas line, then you have to make sure you shut it off or else the apartment will smell like gas (this is a hazard by the way).
