Don't rent with them. They do not take care of their buildings. I live on the top floor and I live in constant fear that the ceiling is going to give out in one of the rooms, just like it consistently does in the communal hallway because of leaks they keep looking at and never repairing. The heat is currently out in our building and after 2 days of no heat they gave us 2 crappy space heaters that couldn't have cost more than $20 a piece and are charging us a $250 security deposit for them if they aren't returned. In six years renting an apartment through Silver Star Properties, the best quality I can point out lay in Alexis, who works in the front office. She’s patient and understanding, thorough, responsive without delay and kind in her expression. She recently helped me immensely as I was making the move out of my apartment and dealing with a completely self absorbed co-lease holder working to sabotage every agreement between Silver Star and ourselves. (Refer to Dani G's review. The exact same thing happened to me!! It was awful!!!) Aside from that, this property management is not great. They are generally responsive via email but don't really solve anything at the end of the day. I was paying separately for parking and the driveway wasn't paved. Because of this, a lot of ppl would block my driveway. For 2 years I asked them to pave it and they would say they would but never did. But biggest of all was the move-out process. I've been a tenant with Silver Star Properties for over 5 years now, and I can honestly say it's been a great experience. The building is always well-maintained, maintenance requests are handled quickly, and communication with management is smooth and professional. I’ve even recommended a close friend to one of their buildings and they’ve had the same positive experience. It's rare to find property management that actually cares, but this team really does. Highly recommend!
