An open letter to the Silver lake volunteer fire department, Middletown, NY. This morning there was a fire alarm at Senior Horizons, an independent senior housing complex with 84 rental units, located approximately 3miles from the firehouse! When this happens residents are instructed to vacate their apartments and go outside till the fire department gives “the all clear” to go back in!
