You can rent one of our fishing boats, or there is a boat ramp and moorage available for a fee, if you'd like to bring your own boat. This was our first time here. What a great place for family fun. The management is so so low key. Our kids had a great time. We will return!
One of our favorite places. Family friendly with lots to do; kids never want to leave. Cute cabins with kitchens, a nice beach with a trampoline and kayaks, fishing from the dock, jacuzzi overlooking the lake, and a boat launch. Close to Heceta Beach (for kite flying), Hobbit Beach trailhead (for a cool forest hike down to the beach) and Strawberry Hill wayside (for amazing tide pools) just 15 miles north. Just perfect.
Rob at Mercer Lake Resort was a pleasure to deal with. The amenities are all that you can hope for in a campground. the facilities are clean and close to each site. It's very family oriented and so your kids will easily find and make friends. The lake is clean, clear and warm with a nice little sand beach. There is also a large cedar hot tub to wind down in after a long day, with a warm water shower to rinse off before and after it's use. Beautiful with friendly staff!
My parents have gone there several times but this was my and my sons first time. we absolutely loved it. safe, family friendly and super clean. we will definitely be back. my son was the talk while we were here on 6-21 through 6-25 about this little boy caught a 18in fish! so much fun!
