We went for the September dining deal. A group of 5 us. This was my third trip. The service was fast and efficient. A couple refills on drinks were slow but otherwise excellent. The food. I had the Korean wings, delicious and crispy. Not a punch you in the palette flavor, but still well seasoned and cooked well. I also had the drum with crab buerre Blanc. So incredibly good. Just ate at silkroad and ....OH MY WORD YA'LL. Let me tell you, this place knows what's up. Green curry shrimp, divine. CRAB BISQUE, TO KILL OR TO DIE FOR. Perfect lighting, sexy environment and attitude. Had the salaam Bombay and the mumbai mule, both refreshing and fantastically orchestrated cocktails. Silk Road is a lovely bistro tucked away in the Marigny where Creole New Orleans cuisine meets India. Situated inside the Balcony Guest House, the restaurant also doubles as a neighborhood wine shop with free weekly wine tastings. Offerings range from tasty traditional samosas and lemongrass crab bisque to New Orleans favorites, including Monday red beans.
Stopped by here after walking back from lunch in the Bywatee. Caught happy hour and had some pleasant craft cocktails. Kiki was our waitress, super outgoing and friendly towards visitors. The menu looked good and reasonably priced. Would definitely be back when in town. :)
