These women are genius -- – If "intelligence" is the ability to solve problems creatively, these women are GENIUSES. Beautiful job on a bridal gown – On the recommendation of a friend, I went to Silhouettes and Profiles to get an estimate on the alterations I needed done for my bridal gown. My dress has a lot of intricate lace and beading and and I really needed someone I could trust to take in the bottom of my dress, as well as bringing in the dress at the waist and fixing the shoulder straps. I'll NEVER Go Anywhere Else For Tailoring. – Silhouettes & Profiles re-constructed the top of a very expensive dress for me - and the workmanship was impeccable. The fit was perfect. The only place I trust for vintage dress tailoring – For my wedding, I decided to wear my grandmothers 53 year old (non-preserved) wedding dress. While i love the dress, it needed a bit of tailoring.. fixed seams, smoother darting, and i wanted it cocktail length instead of a full train. Best tailors around! – I had been to S&P in the past for some simple tailoring and they did a good job so I recently brought in a bunch of dresses to be altered, including a formal, silk chiffon gown that was too big and another (bridesmaid) dress that was much too small. They truly did a fantastic job on these dresses and got extra material that matched my too-small dress perfectly, and managed to turn a dress that was impossible to zip into a perfect fit. Best and magical workers!!!! – When i purchased my wedding dress it was 2 sizes too big, lace all over and beads. I found S&P (thanks to Citysearch). The atmosphere there is soo calming and nice. It took them 1 month to finish my dress. I had 3 fittings, because the work with the dress was really complicated. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR WEDDING DRESS – For a girl, one of the most important experience is purchasing her wedding dress. I finally found mine and did my research for the best place to alter my dress. Anything can be done at Silhouettes&Profiles! I truly believe this because no matter what I have been bringing to Irina and her wonderful team - all comes back to me looking even better than before. New or old. And what is absolutely amazing but rare these days - how consistent this shop been over the years. I have always trusted Irina's sane judgment and never regretted any of the decisions that followed. The are simply the best!
