On 01/21/21, I was advised that I had sepsis and needed emergency surgery. Dr. Bentley approached the situation in a tough, thorough and ultimately loving manner. The surgery ultimately revealed colon cancer, which Dr. Bentley expertly removed all observable evidence of that. She surgically placed a port in my chest for chemotherapy. She was as professional and at the same time, comforting as anyone I’ve ever met at the big St Louis hospitals. She turned a frightening situation into a visit with a new friend who had all the answers. SIH Herrin is a class act that is second to none.
