O k i'm not sure if this is the right place to post this review, but I was supposed to have surgery for kidney stones through SIH so I guess this applies to the surgery dept. On 01/21/21, I was advised that I had sepsis and needed emergency surgery. Dr. Bentley approached the situation in a tough, thorough and ultimately loving manner. The surgery ultimately revealed colon cancer, which Dr. Bentley expertly removed all observable evidence of that. She surgically placed a port in my chest for chemotherapy. My wife and I were very nervous about her surgery. Upon returning to the same day surgery recovery room we were met by RN Jennifer. She was as professional and at the same time, comforting as anyone I’ve ever met at the big St Louis hospitals. She turned a frightening situation into a visit with a new friend who had all the answers. SIH Herrin is a class act that is second to none.
