DO NOT COME TO THIS HOSPITAL!! Two days ago my brother was brought to Herrin Hospital over a suicide attempt. They allowed him to leave the same day. Two days later he drank bleach. Obviously when someone tries one time and doesn’t complete what they are out to do, they will repeat the behavior. His mental health has been very bad. I just had knee surgery there and as a person who works in Healthcare and has had previous surgeries I have to say that the surgical team at Harrin was the best. From the moment I arrived they where kind ,professional and carring. They took care of my every need from start to finish made sure I was comfortable and even made me laugh. I was brought in by ambulance for drastic change in condition. They treated me very well. I get better care down here than I ever did up north. I had Covid, UTI, and generalized weakness. I nearly died, but I was always in very good hands.
