I moved from out of state and had my records sent to this office. I did have my annual appointment done. My insurance changed and I needed my records sent to a new office. John’s Hopkins will not send my whole record, just my visit with them. I’m looking for my breast care for cancer screenings that I’ve had done - mammogram, bloodwork, ultrasound, etc and they will not send it. The medicine field is a profession that specializes in caring for human beings, and just by being nine minutes late to my first appointment, I can tell that the practice does not. One of the front desk employees was incredibly rude and standoffish. I was in the waiting room for 10 minutes, and I could tell that if the employee liked you, she would treat you with kindness and respect; if she didn’t, she wouldn't. My friend had a first trimester pregnancy loss and had been in communications with this practice. She had an appointment to confirm the loss and the office said “congratulations on your pregnancy”. Collectively across the system, there was a mixup, and the practice did not follow the pregnancy loss protocol. So she was in the regular waiting room for one hour, seeing many pregnant women go in and out of their appointments. After a one hour wait time she was in tears from the grief. This is my first time here. The front desk is a young black woman but very unfriendly and cold even I’ve tried to smile and talk to her nicely. I can feel the atmosphere of cultural bias and micro aggressions when I talked to her. Dr Srisutiva and nurses are friendly and nice but that front desk woman made me feel so uncomfortable and uneasy.
