Have you all been to the new Signal Financial on New York Ave (downtown DC)? It is beautiful, state of the art, jazzy and everyone is extremely helpful. I felt important VIP. Brian Brooks was an awesome help. Took a tour, used the self service banking tools. The new ATMs are awesome and so much safer than the regular machines. I was treated so warmly by Brian and the other staff. You all just made making even better
I've been a member for a few weeks now. The website isn't allowing me to register for online access, and the rep I just talked to said I'll have to call back another time to talk to a "specialist" that can assist me. Of course in the meantime I'm being charged $2/month for paper statements even though I have no ability to change that. Big mistake signing up. I'd close my account but they'll charge me $25 and I'm not even sure I have the ability to close it anyway unless I can find a specialist to help me.
I have been a member of signal financial since it was the WTFCU. The last two or three years have been an absolute nightmare. The disrespectful employees who yell and mistreat customers, the closing of the public branches, bad accounting practices, and now paying for paper statements are the reason for me finally leaving after close to 20 years with this establishment. Dynita Taylor, the Branch Manager at the Capitol Hill location, gave me the utmost professional and spectacular first experience at Signal Financial FCU. I am very appreciative of her warmth, patience and wonderful humor as we set-up my account bundle (checking, savings, Money Market, etc.). Though I have only had these accounts for a week, the experience alone was very memorable. I have never had this type of experience at other banks.
