I have been to this facility a total of three times: twice in 2025 for "Trigger Finger" and a second opinion. I was seen by a very competent hand surgeon, Dr. Thao Nguyen, and one time in 2026 for an evaluation of issues with my neck/shoulders, with partial paralysis I encountered Sunday morning, February 22, 2026. I was given X-Rays of my neck at their office on Palm River Road. I never saw a doctor, not once. Had my right knee done 2 yrs. ago by Dr Sheilds so when it was time to do my left knee I wanted nobody else but Dr Sheilds to do it. Now the problem was HUMANA was not going with O.M.G anymore so I drop HUMANA and went with another ins. co. Jan. of 2026 had my left knee done at Fish hawk surgery center. The staff from front to back treated me like I was family. Doing physical therapy at Fish hawk and they are like everybody who works for OM.G awesome. I came to the Sun City office of Orthopedic Medical Group Tampa Bay with a direct injury to my Ankle and Knee from a slip and fall accident. They told me that they could only X-ray one of those body parts per office policy and I would need a separate appointment for the other body part...Absolutely the most absurd policy I have ever heard of. I recommend you stay far away from this Orthopedic office!

Run!!! This is one the worst places I have ever worked with. The Approval team is a joke. The have absolutely no care or concern for the patient. The MRI was supposed to be completed within a week and they did not mark it as stat. This was disappointing!! However after scheduling the procedure, and preparing the lengthily and very limiting recovery, ie rides, people to help take of me and my pet. I have used this orthopedic doctor for several previous injuries, but when I was hit by a car several weeks ago and sought care for a fractured collarbone and torn ligaments in my shoulder, their scheduling office spent over two weeks delaying scheduling an appointment without giving me a clear reason why.
