Great views. Second time there and they finally figured out the line for upstairs. Bartenders were quick. Bathrooms were clean. Excited about having a great outdoor space in Stamford.
Long story short we got the "we have been open for 2 weeks" treatment. Bill was wrong. Food was bad. Management was rude. The only saving grace was the sweet rooftop and torches.

Mediocre food, slow service, extremely rude managers, and getting overcharged at the bar are what you can expect at Sign of the Whale. Apparently they had to be open for two weeks before realizing half their menu was terrible- although that didn't stop them from letting us ordering the food they weren't offering first, leading to having to reorder some of our food and other items just never showing up. It's a shame this restaurant has managed to waste a very nice location and ambience by being so poorly run. Avoid this place... read more
