What a filthy facility! Nasty. This rec center is straight out of the 3rd world with poop in the shower, theft issues (my expensive swimsuit and gear were stolen), AND forget about privacy in the women's locker room as you just might encounter a 7-year-old boy as you leave the shower. Women and girls deserve better than this! To top it off, rather than correct the problems, management blames the messenger and tries to shame her for daring to complain about unacceptable conditions. I will say this about the Fairfax County ADC: at least it is clean. They make the inmates clean all parts of the facility every day, and at least they are allowed antiperspirant now (it was banned until 2017 - thank you, Alicia Schmuhl!!!), so the whole facility doesn't stink like B.O. like it used to. But inmates are not allowed hair elastics to tie their hair back. This may not seem like a big deal, until you try to keep long hair out of your face while eating, showering, or exercising without using anything to tie it back... read more
