Sierra Vista Hospital in Sacramento is truly outstanding. A close relative of mine has struggled with her mental health for decades and has been in many hospitals, but she said Sierra Vista was by far the best. The staff were compassionate, patient, and always treated her like a whole person. I was an in voluntary patient there who was placed there because of severe withdrawals from 20 years of wrongfully prescribed psychiatric drugs. I had been in a state of “status epilepticus for 8 days having seizures which caused hours long blackouts finally slamming the back of my head which caused a 12 hours blackout. I was taken by ambulance to the local hospital 3 times, the third time I was sent to the SVH on Bruceville in Sacramento.
