Before today SV had a 1 star rating as far as I have experienced and heard. I could tell stories. But I was surprised today to receive top of the line care from every staff person I encountered during my ER visit.
I went in for pain had a kidney stone . Hospital did X-rays and could clearly see I had phemonia and sent me home . I didn’t find out till my dr appointment 3 days later that I was super sick because my dr read the X-ray results . Porterville hospital has got to get with the program . So many peaoe talk bad about it and it’s clear to me in many situations that the hospital needs some work . You guys are supposed to save lives .
This ER has no clue about pain management. Sustained severe contusion to ribs and was discharged with the lowest dose of Norco imaginable. May as well handed me a bag of Skittles instead.
I did not have a good experience, I got into a car accident and I wasn’t even checked , all they told me to do was walk to the door to make sure I was able to walk and they asked if I went unconscious. They wanted to just give me a narco for pain and send me on my way . I told them I was driving I won’t take a pill they said I will be fine as long as I’m not driving more than 30 minutes away . They had asked if I wanted an ibuprofen but because I had a minor Mi before I can’t take those . I felt I wasn’t cared for or listene... read more
