The HVAC company that had previously been servicing my unit (NOT Sierra Valley) told me I had no more than a year before it needed to be replaced. They also told me it would cost between $12,000 and $18,000 to replace my package unit. A friend suggested I call Sierra Valley for a second opinion. I am so glad I did! It turns out that the useful life of my unit is closer to 5 years and they could replace it today for $7500-$8500. I am switching to Sierra Valley for all my HVAC maintenance and repairs as of today.
