Sid's installed a new Rheem water heater at my home. Around a year later, the gas valve failed. Sid, the owner, stated that the original gas valve was defective and replaced it at a cost to me of $150. The replacement valve was exactly like the original valve. About a month later, the replacement gas valve failed. Then, Sid's said that both the new water heater and replacement gas valve were defective.
