Went for lunch. We both had the prime rib with fries and craft beer. Absolutely delicious! Chocolate cake and Creme Brulee were delectable! Waitress was phenomenal! We thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance and would return in a heartbeat.
We went to SideDoor for drinks. I thought the place was really nice. I had the sweater weather for a drink. It was really yummy! I thought it was a nice gathering place for our group. I'd go back again.
Love this little spot. Open little kitchen, and the food is very fresh in a clubby atmosphere. The entrance is the “side door” to the famous Lawry’s steakhouse, and this section is one of the oldest mansions in Chicago. We will go back for sure.
My birthday. My choice because I knew the meat platter would be spectacular. Server John was lots of fun and worked that room like a fiend. Lots of kudos to him for making the evening special. We'll never forget Joe Snow. ��
Not real impressed. We are Lawry's VIP Prime members from Dallas, but wanted to change it up and try Side Door while we were in town. The server tried real hard, but they seemed to be understaffed. And then the food was extremely disappointed to point that we didn't eat but a couple of bites. It just seemed like an off night all the way around. They handled it appropriately, but I don't know that Side Door will be at the top of our list for our next Chicago visit.
