I am still dealing with trying to correct my treatment after being severely overmedicated from this doctor, 5 years later. I was also incorrectly diagnosed. Thousands of dollars on medications lost. Dosage amounts that when I relayed what she had me on to other doctors, their jaws dropped. Trust all of the one-star reviews. I think she should have her medical license taken away, frankly. And let’s not even talk about her bedside manner…
Absolutely terrible.
I can’t continue to see a patient who doesn’t follow up and then expects that they will get something from my care that is not possible without regular treatment. I do hope that you will find someone who you will get help from. I see you are angry but posting hostile and untruthful comments online is also not going to help you. Extremely unprofessional, hung up the phone while I was talking, showed no care or follow up concern. Constantly talked down on me during our calls. Do not go to her if you are looking for a compassionate and genuine psychiatrist. I promise you that. She seems to think it is okay to act above the patient and to get “mad” at the patient when it is her job to help.
I've been seeing Dr Sickinger for years now and I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for her. She's worked with me on improving myself and I'm grateful for our success. It's fun to talk to her about brain physiology and regurgitate anything I read in literature that relates to my struggle. Just from our talks and the trial and error we've endured, you can tell her knowledge is above the curve. She's receptive and respects my thoughts and also trusts my judgments.
