The best authentic Sichuan food!!! They are the best! Try the mushroom trio! Second only to dongzhimin restaurant in Beijing!
I'm from Hawaii... use to people not knowing better saying Chinese places out here are good... but I am putting the Hawaii stamp of approval on this place... as we say back home "broke da mouth"... freakin awesome!
For those who don't know this place is closed on Tuesday... We drove out this way ready to try and see what all the hype is about only to find out their closed on a Tuesday of all days. Going to old reliable Panda Express, their open 7 days a week.

Loads of fresh veggies, amazing textures, and very flavorful. The best Chinese food I've found in San Antonio, by a lot.

Forget what you think you know about regional Chinese cooking. Just sit down and let your server take you on a culinary tour... After only one visit, this is our new favorite place...
Amazing flavours all around, especially the Sichuan braised pork belly and Crispy Spicy Chicken. Definitely keeping this place on the list of go-to Chinese fare. ^_^
After reading all the reviews, I finally had a chance to try a pair of dishes from the Sichuan House today. I tried the Crispy and Spicy Chicken - this was a delicious dish, lots of peppers but the spice was still balanced very nicely and the overall flavor was fantastic. I also tried the chicken lo mein and the noodles were -perfect-. I've been missing quality chinese food here in San Antonio (I grew up where it was abundant) and I'm so pleased that, at last, I've found a place to make my regular joint. I eat here all the time. For someone who's been described as having an "uncultured palate" I find the food here spectacular. The owner, a delightful girl I went to high school with, is incredibly attentive and knowledgeable. I went in and described to her what type of food I like, she ordered for me, and the result was great. San Antonio is pretty dim on sophisticated Chinese cuisine but if that's what you're after, Sichuan House is where you'll find it. Ask for Kristina and you're meal will be amazing.
