Have always liked Shumate until this weekend. Our a/c quit running and it's been about 95 degrees out. Inside temp is 85. They advertise 24/7 365 days a week. I guess that just means that someone will answer the phone 24/7. We called Saturday and they said someone would call back on Monday. What does the 24/7 mean??? I Have been a customer with Shumate for years. Probably over ten years. Bought a new system through them. Regular maintenance and all. I have been pretty ok with their service until recently. When we had a problem with our system during the cold snap before this last one. No heat. Afraid no one would come out and they let us sit out the cold for days. I contacted Shumate's main number when the house was 62 degrees and we have brutal cold weather arriving later tonight/tomorrow. I was asked to hold after explaining cold air was coming out of the vents with no sign of the heat cutting on, the receptionist came back and said their technician was in the area and would arrive in a few minutes. I am very pleased with the service I received. The technician was very helpful and took the time to explain the source of the problem I was having. He was able to resolve the problem at the time of his visit. The cost was within the estimate I had been given and very fair and reasonable. I would recommend this service to anyone with heating/air conditioning problems.
We use Shumate to perform our regular maintenance, and have been Shumate Signature Members for years. Amazing level of service...and never have to wait. So worth it.
