This noisy restaurant, with its mismatched tables and chairs and crepe paper streamers, is considered by many to be one of the best Chinese restaurants in the state. The extensive menu Shuang Cheng Restaurant features numerous dishes containing seafood, fish, beef, pork and poultry. The seafood asparagus stir-fry with shrimp, scallops, squid and asparagus is sure to please. Try the soft-shell crab in black bean sauce, or ask for a whole walleye to be brought to your table. The fresh rice noodles tossed with shrimp and scallo... read more

Best chinese food hands down! – This is hands down the best chinese food in the twin cities. Our family has been going to this restaurant for years. We have tried most if not all the chinese restaurants in town and no one cooks seafood like they do. If you ever go there, try their deep fried walleye with meat sauce. We live about 40miles from them but it is worth the trip for some good food. Their price is really cheap compared to other places we've been to, and the portions are big. I Highly recommend this place for anyone ... read more
Best sesame chicken, Great Value – I was in search for some great sesame chicken when I moved up here. Out of the numerous restaurants I've tried, this one stole my tastebuds. For $12, and a large portion that could serve 2 very hungry people or 3 people, it's a great deal. The flavors are there and it hits the spot when I have a chinese craving. The service is always quick and friendly. I usually order to-go but they have great daily lunch specials. Enough food to fill you up for $5.50. What a deal! I feel like I'm stealing... read more
Most authentic – Not the prettiest place but by far the asain around. Fresh seafood with new specials every night.
Good food, bad service – The food was good but the service was really bad. The service was very slow. We waited 40 minutes to get our food and there was no waitress or waiter in sight, so our water was not filled at all. We also had to go up to the counter to asked for our bill and then paid them.
Hands down, #1 Chinese in Minnesota. – You can't say enough good things about this place. The wait-staff is friendly, parking is never an issue, and the food... you'll never have better. This isn't your average cookie cutter Chinese joint. Szechwan cuisine, with an emphasis on seafood so fresh you'll forget you're in the Prairie. The prices can't be beat either. You can get more than enough to stuff two, and have left overs, for under $30. My personal favorite dishes here are the muscles in ginger sauce and beef chow fun. Th... read more
Serving up authentic Chinese food, this Dinkytown hot spot has long had a loyal following. – In Short Popular with high profile chefs out for a bite as well as university students who know a good, cheap meal when they see one, this big place is always busy. Bargain-basement decor matches bargain-basement prices for reliably fresh fare. A dictionary-size menu is overwhelming--with Szechuan specialties, hot pots, vegan options, and loads of seafood, such as the sesame shrimp--battered with a light airy touch, the prawns are dr... read more
great food!!! When I was living in Minnesota, this was one of my favorite restaurants. The restaurant is located close to the U of M campus and right in Dinkytown. The prices are reasonable, and the food is great!!! This place is very popular. It can get very busy especially during the peak times ( the restaurant isn't that big). But the wait is welll worth it!!
Great Food! – Minneapolis is like a second home to me since I lived there for about 6 years. After moving to other state, this is the restaurant I miss. I have not found any restaurant on par with Shuang Cheng. They have an amazing FIVE-SPICE DUNGEOUNESS CRAB, Orange Beef, Mapo Tofu, Salt&Pepper Squid, and many other things that I could not remember. The price is reasonable too!
One of the best seafood restaurants in town This is definitely a must-stop place to eat if you're only in town for a short while and in the mood for authentic, great tasting Asian seafood dishes.
