I have been a patient for 20 years. I love everyone in that office. They are all very nice and supportive. I would drive 100 miles to continue to see them. Thanks Dr. Brock for being who you are, and for hiring such wonderful staff.
If you are looking for a place that feels friendly and safe where you can let down your guard I do believe this is the place for you. Dr. Chad Brock was very polite and easy to be around. However if you are looking for a place that cares about you and your situation then I highly recommend you go somewhere else because that same polite energy might make your situation deeply worse. Great visit at the Pooler office! It was easy to schedule an appointment. Anika was very responsive. Danielle at the front desk was kind and professional. Annalise, the PA was very thorough in explaining different treatment options.
If you are in need of truly compassionate and professional psychiatric care, DO NOT grace the doorstep of this practice. They essentially prescribe meds and send you packing. Patients are thrown into a makeshift counseling (???) sessions called "med checks" with inexperienced PA's who offer absolutely NO empathy, nor do they follow any protocol for psychiatric emergencies except "go to the emergency room" - even when the office is open. I have been a patient here for many years, and the ladies in the office are very polite, the Doctor and the Apprentices/Assistants are very welcoming and knowledgeable. There's been a few times where I have had to wait for my script to be called in, but only a day or so. I do wish I didn't have to go every month, especially being such a long time patient.
