The atmosphere was great. I love the nautical theme. The food was also good. I ordered the steak (medium well) and golden fried shrimp (jumbo). It included two sides. I chose fries and rice pilaf. The fries were crunchy, the rice was soft. My wife ordered the Clam chowder bread bowl, and a fish taco. For dessert we ordered the coconut banana a la mode, and a peach cobbler a la mode.. This place has an old fashioned diner atmosphere. Vinyl seats at the counter and cozy booths. It's very friendly and the staff looks like they've been working there for a while. It also appeared to be filled with regulars as the conversation with the wait staff was very casual. The portions were big, the food was tasty and the price was very reasonable. All in all it was a delicious dinner.
The food is great and you cannot beat the prices they charge, been going to the shrimp house for 25 yrs now since it was in El Monte.
