Food was Very very very disappointing and not appetizing whatsoever. Waste of money. However, talked to the manager before we left and she took the criticism well.
RecommendedAwesome as always! Boiled shrimp 🍤 very good. Blackened catfish with etouffee was awesome fried shrimp very good too.
Oysters tonight were so greasy and soggy which made them taste terrible! When they came out, I used a napkin to sop up the grease from the plate and rolled three up in a napkin to get the grease off just to be able to eat that many! When I bit into the third one, I couldn't eat any more, too greasy!! The manager refused to take any money off and then argued with me over the amount eaten! Haven’t been in years and was reminded why I never go. Shrimp over cooked, way too much salt and believe it or not served on top of a paper plate. Yep I said that right a paper plate I expect a little more class out of a restaurant.
Food is mediocre at best and overpriced. We live in the area and do not eat there after giving them several tries.
Unfortunately, this place just really doesn't have good food. As a local I've tried to eat here several times and it's just a disappointment every single time... The gumbo is not good, the etouffee tastes like straight up campbells cream of mushroom soup, and the size/quality of the shrimp is truly tragic (they have no business calling this place "shrimp" anything)..... the staff is great and the atmosphere is wonderful, but the food is just soooo not good.
