Bought a 2024 CRV, took it in for first oil change and tire rotation at ***** miles, dove it home and had a terrible noise, carried it back and was told the tires where bad that they moved to the front so the put the tires back to original position and said it was nothing they could do, I called the hankook tire company and it was nothing they could do. We bought a car for nearly 15k cash in *** of 2023. We got it checked by a third party, got the car fax, and felt good about it. Unfortunately, the engine blew in that car in August of 2023, 10 days after the warranty expired. The mechanic now wants over 8k for a repair. Naturally, I called shottenkirk first. Literally the worst experience. They left me without a car for a month with no offer to provide a rental for the trouble of constantly promising one date and constantly delaying it, not answering calls, saying they would call back, only to not be called back to where we have to call constantly and ask for what is going on. I recently purchased a 2020 Chrysler 300. The clearance price was $29, 998. After talking to the salesman he said the price was $26,899. We started the paperwork, after reviewing the paperwork I noticed a $3,900 fee for a padded on warranty. I told him I didnot want the warranty. He asked if he would lower it down to $400.00, would I agree. I signed a agreement on the car for $29,000. With a monthly of $400.00. He delivered the car the next day at my home. Had a very unsettling experience at Shottenkirk Honda in Huntsville, AL. I work as a loan officer for a credit union and was pre- approved prior to beginning my search. The dealership would not accept my pre-approval but instead insisted I reapply at their dealership (of course to receive their incentive). So after being told they had an interest rate that was much lower than what I was approved for, I happily accepted!! Only to be told later by the Finance Manager, the quote was incorrect. Unfortunately, this dealership charges an exorbitant reconditioning fee and advertises a "clearance" sale price. After the conditioning fee, the price is nowhere near clearance. An honest dealership should not advertise one price and try to make the difference up by charging the customer additional fees to make the vehicle presentable for sale.
