RecommendedA great place to eat -- and not overrun with tourists! Great people, too! We recommend EVERYTHING on the menu, but if pressed, Maria E. Hurst and I would say that the Breakfast Burrito, the Eggs Benedict (with lots of Hollandaise!!) and the Coconut Creme Pie are our favorites! Shorty's is simply the best! Watch the people or watch the kitchen crazies -- there's always great food and great folks there.
My husband and I are visiting from Pennsylvania and came here for breakfast one day. We loved it. The staff were all so happy and friendly and the food was great.

I ordered a chicken salad sandwich with coleslaw and potato salad, it was okay however for me it was a bit sweet. it tasted like they put sweet relish and everything I had. I'm not the biggest fan of relish let alone sweet relish so I didn't really enjoy my meal, but it was filling. my son however enjoyed everything on his plate since he had banana pancakes I had a bite of that and wish I had ordered it as well. the pancakes were ginormous and delicious much better than the food I ordered
Pretty darn good food. Highly recommend the ham biscuits.
