Five stars because the staff are excellent, the neighbors are kind (nearly Southern hospitality level!), and the amenities were just what we needed. My husband and I stayed at The Shores at McIntosh Lake for a couple of months while our new home was finishing construction, and we truly enjoyed our time here. I want to express my deep frustration and disappointment with my move out experience at the Shores. During my three years as tenant, I paid my rent in full and on time every month. Over my rental period, I paid an initial $850 non-refundable pet fee plus over $1,200 in pet rent, only to be charged an additional $520 in carpet costs upon leaving. I lived at The Shores for 14 years, left for 11, now back. I always knew I’d move back here due to the wonderful location, views, lake walks, nice neighborhood and great staff. The community is safe, beautifully kept up and the parking is easy with wide spaces (my car appreciates that!) The staff and maintenance crew is kind, efficient, helpful and really here for us. So glad to be able to secure an apartment again that is perfect for me.
