Generally good with glaring exceptions. My preoperative blood samples were taken from the area w/o identification attached. My recovery room nurse sitting next to me did not help me when I awoke and started coughing to clear my throat to keep from choking. I was thrashing around trying to turnover after abdominal surgery. He asked what was wrong and I said I'm choking. He said no you aren't you couldn't be talking to me if you were. I recently had Surgery and Venice Hospital! And all I can say is the entire staff at Venice Hospital, from the Area where you Register, Pre op, ACU unit Surgery staff Doctors and Nurse, The Great Nurses and CNA on two North, The Physical Therapy unit. the Dietary Unit. Are the Best I have ever seen. I hope people don't rate this Hospital by the Crap they put in the Local Papers! We are Blessed to have such a Great Hospital in this area! And a note I drove 7 hours and over 430 miles to have my surgery done Here!

Just had outpatient surgery last Tuesday and I was a bit anxious after reading several articles but...... The hospital, the staff, and everything was Excellent!

Dr halaby did a fantastic job on my surgery. He was amazing. The nursing staff did an exceptional job. Special thanks and appreciation to Melissa, Lisa, Alecia, Jessy and Whitney for really going above and beyond to facilitate my recovery.

My husband has received the most amazing and attentive care by every employee in every department starting with the emergency department and now the critical care unit. They all have been very kind and compassionate to myself and kids during a very scary and difficult time. These staff members have been here for many many years. They deserve kudos.

My insurance company has been billed a total of $209,311 by 23 different providers for an er visit 07/2015 and two days stay for kidney stones. Come on, $209,311 really? The nursing staff was great but for that amount of money at least the meals should of been better.

I had two major operations there and it was without any complaints from me.. My surgery was done by Dr. Willkomm and would recommend the hospital and its staff anytime..

I would not recommend this place to anyone. This hospital will sue you for $1,200.00 even though they are making $15,000.00 a pop from my insurance. Now I will give my business to a different hospital.

Our daughter had to go in because she fell off her horse and was unconscious briefly. We wanted to to just be sure everything was ok. They were very courteous and professional. They did a CT and even an x-Ray for her arm bc it was banged up. Everything was done in a timely manner and every single staff member including x-Ray and CT were awesome! Thank you VRBH for looking after her!
