His staff is useless, unprofessional and beyond incompetent. not only did I have to wait ONE Whole week to hear from Dr.Rathi. Emily's favorite response was 'I don't know I'm sorry' or '(giggle and responds I apologize I don't know what you want me to say' per Emily Dr. Rathi only stated to tell the patient meaning (ME) 'I can not help her' without given me a good reason why or giving me options of what I can do.... if this is how he turns away patients don't bother seeing him you will waste your time

I have RA and I've seen 4 other doctors for epidural spinal injections since 2003. I started seeing Dr Rathi in 2010, he actually listens to my explanation of symptoms instead of taking a cook-book approach to treatment. He's been very helpful with diagnostic investigations and coming up with treatments that work for me. His new office in Shrewsbury seems to be better organized than the office he was sharing in Tinton Falls. I've always found his office staff to be very nice. I'm not sure why others mentioned having problems... read more

The way the office is run is dysfunctional. The office staff does NOT return calls. If you get through to them with a concern they tell you they will call you back but they almost never do. If you leave a voicemail they don't call you back. Your pain is not meaningful for this office. You are not treated with compassion. I can go on and on with complaints. Go elsewhere if you expect a professional practice

Dr. Rathi has been treating me for 8 years, and I find him caring, he makes near-perfect diagnoses, and his treatments are conservative and I get great relief from my arthritis pain.

On my previous visit, a biopsy was recommended to see if a mass at the base of my lumbar spine was solid or fluid. Blood work determined it wasn't an infection. When I asked him about doing the biopsy, he said "I don't want to do that at this time". No explanation as to why he changed his mind. The visit left me with more questions than answers. He simply repeated everything he said the previous visit like we had never discussed it before. Doesn't he write notes?? He never followed up with the Infection Disease doctor he sen... read more

I went to him soon after a sciatica attack on my left leg; while he gave a shot to relieve the pricking pain in my butt, his epidural injections never helped and I was in pain for many more months. Another sciatica-like attack in Jan. 2019 was poorly treated for weeks and another epidural shot did not help. Further MRI's came with wrong diagnosis and I had to see other specialists to determine the exact problem which turned to be nothing to do with my lumbar but a fracture crack of pelvis bottom; this could have been diagnos... read more

Dr. Rathi is very nice. But the practice he is with is TERRIBLE. A factory. Sit and wait for hours. Unfriendly front desk. Why, because they’re tired of people complaining about the wait and have become cold robots. The Doctors need to get control of these offices Our time is important too. Once this is over I will find a better practice.

The staff is horrible and extremely rude. His assistant's voicemail states that she will get back to you in two business days; however, I have waited up to fours days and a weekend with no callback. I had to call again and I spoke to someone else who made an appointment for me. Really, two days to return a call from a Pain Management Doctor's office? The receptionist does not greet you and is obnoxious. Stay away if you if you expect kindness, compassion and communication.

Completely antiseptic approach to people. After 2 rather brief office visits, where on the second one , after test results, he says here's the good news here's the bad news and here's what you should do , shakes my hand, says let me know what you want to do, and leaves. I should have known what I was getting . I agreed to get an epidural injection for lumbar pain. He walks in, remembered little of the case. Post procedure, never received call from him even though I called with a complication.
