I went to Shopko Optical for 2 years, and unfortunately my experience was very frustrating. On my first visit, they set me up with a virtual exam I did not want, and the prescription came out completely wrong. Because of that, I ended up with the wrong glasses. They had to redo my exam, ordered new glass and ctill voild not see, when and they adjust my progressives (which were not measured correctly the first time), and reorder lenses. Absolutely wonderful experience. The telehealth appointment was a new experience, but good. Marilyn A. was spectacular, patient, and incredibly helpful. She went above and beyond to help me out.
#1 - They charged me $40 for a protection plan I didn't want. They never said it was an extra cost, she just went into the speech about "if anything happens the frames are replaced." (my frames are discontinued so doesn't make sense for me). If I would have known this was an extra cost, I would have declined this. But shame on me for not asking if there was a charge. #2 - At my initial eye exam the Dr suggested I get bifocals. The bifocal was so minimal that I didn't feel it was worth the added cost of glasses & contacts. Dr... read more
