We got there at 340pm. They got our table ready took our drink order. We all headed to the buffet and started making our plates. The server walks over and tells us they close at 4 and he just looked at the time. Now we have already made plates and was getting ready to start eating! No one thought to check the time while they were moving tables around and taking our drink orders?
I haven’t been here yet, but I’m traveling through in two weeks so I want to stop by and give it a try. I used to work at Shoney’s in Wilmington, North Carolina back in the 80s the early 90s back then Shoney’s was bigger than it is now we had to do things what they called the Shoneys way at that time. The breakfast food was delicious. The pancakes were fresh and not frozen. The lunch food wasn't great for me. It'll pass, and it needs more seasoning. Our waitress was very friendly. This was one of the few places in this area that we felt comfortable being in. No stares or constant looks.
We stopped here the second day of our vacation to Maggie Valley. My family got 2 hot bar and baked spaghetti. I had a ribeye with baked potato and broccoli. Everything was delicious. The waitress was very friendly and took great care of us. I highly recommend this place! They have great sweet tea too.
