The food is great and so is the service, but: we were there on August 7, 2019 for a birthday celebration and one of the AC units in the building was not working and it was very warm and uncomfortable. We actually had to move all 12 of us to another location within the restaurant and under a fan to be semi comfortable. The bathrooms were extremely hot. We walked in the door it was my husband, my father in law and myself. It was Saturday night around 7:30. They were not busy. When we walked in the door the hostess was on the phone. She grabbed 3 menus and said here and shoved them in my hands. The girl who was seating came back to seat us and the hostess said I gave her the menus. I've been here for breakfast and dinner,and both times the service was excellent to my liking.... Will refer this place to others
Well this review I'll leave is a bit conflicted. The food is good. Normally the staff there is very nice & helpful. However one time last year a lady that brought out the food in the kitchen fussed a a customer who was at the buffet. He dropped a piece of fried chicken on the bar & picked it up with his hand. Service was almost nonexistent. Was told that any food out of the kitchen was going to be a 45 minute wait. We went with the buffet which was 13.99 because they had some seafood. I could've got better seafood at a fast food restaurant or out of the freezer at the grocery store. Don't waste your time or money
We went back to Shoneys on our last day. The place was cleaner than our last time there. Our waitress stopped at our table, took our drink order, and that was the last we saw of her. Our previous waitress, Wendy, noticed us sitting there, came to our rescue. We think she was on her way out( had her purse in her hand when she saw us) Two other waitresses said I have them, but she was the only one there. She took care of the people on the other end as well. I dont know what they pay her, but she deserves a raise.
Seafood buffet was quite unbecoming , but to speak in regards to our waiter (barry) he was the most professional employee on duty .
Sorry but I have gotten a sever stomach ache each time I have eaten there. I have gotten the salad bar both times and I thing it is something they put on it too keep it fresh, maybe MSG.
Absolute garbage........horrible food. Slim Jim sandwich cheese don't melt. Double decker tasted like Alpo. How on God's green earth is this shit hole still in operation. Assistant manager is a eastern European dumbass who blames the service and food on his customers
