Went for nostalgia sake. Experience was ... meh? To be fair, we did come in on the later side and maybe we should have come on a different day since the food options rotate. The service was really good though and they were friendly so I gave 5 stars for the staff. If I go back I think I'll try ordering from the menu rather than the buffet. Will update review if experience changes.
I really enjoyed the food, the service, and the environment. The prices are good as well.
I love shoneys. We used to have on here in Albuquerque. We would go every Sunday. We drove from Albuquerque to Boston and timed perfectly to stop and eat at shoneys on the way there and back. Every mile was worth it.
The buffet was delicious! Service was a bit lacking (the young man that ended up seating us wasn't even a waiter/server; he had to go find the actual waitress/server after he seated us), but the food and atmosphere helped make up for it. My family will definitely be returning to try one of the other daily/evening specials of/on the buffet.
I was not impressed!! I have gone twice now. Last night 5/25/26 we went and got there about 45 mins to close. We did the buffet which was a big mistake. It was blown out!! One of us got a salad the other didmt because they didn't restock it. The warm side was a wreck. It was supposed to be BBQ night yet there was only 2 items that was BBQ. Baked beans and what was left of the ribs. I got the last of the potatoes so they didn't restock it.. it was horrible!!
