I went to Shoemans to get a muffler for a bike that I bought from a friend at work. I didn't have the money to get a stock muffler because I had just moved to Reno all the way from NYC. Mr. Shoeman was very nice and helpful and went in the back to look and see if he had something I could afford in his parts bin from stock bikes that had parts taken off for customization. I called Shoeman's looking for a hard to find part for my Harley, they said come on in & they would locate it. True to their word they did just that. The part was back east somewhere, it was shipped out & I had it in two days. I had gone to many shops in Reno with no luck, or help. I recommend this place to everyone looking for a straight forward shop for your bike. Also, the prices a good.

Well Done! Got me back on the road and running better than ever. If your looking for fancy paint on the floor and fine art on the walls go some place else. Shoeman's is just good people doing a great job of keeping your scoot running well. It's good to see some good old fashion service and having the job done right!

I walked in and was immediately greeted by the counter guy "hook". Super rad guy. Took the time to make sure I got what I needed. They had EVERYTHING I needed and went the extra mile to make sure I had what I came for. The mechanics were giving me free tips on tuning and maintaining my bike. I recommend them 100% for anything you would ever need. People complain about the work shop being "messy"....well no shit, it's a real bike shop, with real tools and real American labor. They get my vote.

I should have researched this place. The main harley dealer is always pretty busy, but you would be better off just waiting for as long as needed to go to a normal shop. Take a look at their shop and form your own opinion

Make sure you get a written estimate – The problem I had was that the required written estimate was never given. They called only after it seemed weird to spend so much on an old bike. They came to my house to pick up the bike , and the bike was in the same condition as in this video youtube. /watch?v=DVxOUdApJj0 (you have to add the URL back to the YOUTUBE part) it needed a seat, the starter switch wire was messed up, so I had to start it by shorting it, as you see in the video. This place is pretty awful – You need to insist on looking in the back of the shop to see how dirty and disorganized it is. This place looks like a front to deal drugs just like the bar next door.

Customer Service is the KEY! – I am the owner of Shoeman's Custom Cycle and service is what we sell. I will bend over backwards to satisfy ANY complaint that is brought to my attention as quickly as possible. I have been a BBB member with an A+ rating since 1993 and I really hate people trying to slander me and ruin my name. The disgruntled customer above, all 3 of the same guy, complained to the BBB and LOST in arbitration. He still hasn't paid the bill awarded to me in that arbitration hearing. He is a liar and a deadbeat.
