We went to Dr. Shoaib after a health concern with loss of vision. He was compassionate, super fast with the diagnosis and proactive with treatment. I would recommend 100%.
When he came in to the exam room and said 'tell me your symptoms because when you are done and I start talking you don't talk anymore' we should of got up and left. As I was telling him my symptoms he would cut me off and say we won't talk about that right now. I have been dealing with these medical issues for a few years and have had numerous experiences with neurologists both inpatient and outpatient but this has been the worst. He was very unprofessional not compassionate at all in the middle of my visit he asked me how much ice cream did I have to eat this week and he told me if I put on more weight he would have to take me off my medicine and I would never go back to see him again the two and a half stars that he got is two and a half too many
Dismissive, condescending and terrible bedside manner. Does not answer questions. Lesson learned.
Very friendly and thorough on initial visit. Ordered all the expected tests. At follow up he mentioned his education and we found commonality with a neurosurgeon we both knew. We spent 45 minutes talking about that. When I asked if I might have a certain condition, he suddenly said no, dismissed me, and said he couldn't do anything more for me. Had my first appt with him today. He was very pleasant, answered all my questions and asked me a lot of questions.
Run if you have any autoimmune disease symptoms. Doesn’t listen. Quick to dismiss your concerns.
Does not really examine patients and is in a hurry to get you in and out. He has no bedside manner whatsoever and will not complete FMLA or disability forms. Had to go see another neurologist who questioned the diagnosis of Dr. Shoaib and I am now having to start all over again.
