I recovered at Shirley Ryan after unexpectedly having a stroke. Shirley Ryan was highly recommended by the hospital and word of mouth. In hindsight, I think it was the only decision for me. If you have the opportunity to recover here, I highly recommend it. The staff really helps you navigate the unknown and sets realistic expectations on how recovery can be. We can to this place with our daughter after she spent two months at inpatient across the street. They are awesome! They continued the PT/OT as DayRehab. Their therapists are very professional, knowledgeable and caring. We spent four intensive moths there and it was the best decision ever. Jennifer Ettinger, the PT lead on our daughter’s recovery plan was the most caring person. This place is the worst place to work. The people are fake and untrustworthy it’s disgusting. They lie just to make themselves look better than you. Will kick you to the curb if you have a misfortune in your life. They are not understanding of life struggles and will lie and say they are. Will talk to you as if you’re not even a human being.
