I'd been going to Shinnicks since I was 18, usually after 8 P.M. in the middle of the week. Old George knew who I was and never carded me. On my 21st birthday my old man stopped in and had a few shooters and then told George he had to get back home to get things ready for my 21st. "He's 21 TODAY?" asked George. "Hell," he added. "He's been coming in here for years!"
