We came here to try the pretzel and of course the machine wasn't working, we understand not the restaurants fault. The menu offers some diverse food and the smell inside was not pleasant. We got seated in the bar and we waited for a while and no one came. We moved to the bar and was greeted immediately and the bar tender was wonderful. We decided not to eat and just got 2 drinks, they where okay but not worth $35! Will not be back.....so many better options around. Just not for us but it was crowded so someone likes it.
Fully believe this restaurant needs to close. They make zero food mods, the roof is only open on the weekends, and staff act so pretentious… but they don’t even offer you water. Please get better or let someone else open a restaurant. Thanks Food is okay AT BEST. I’ve never been been super impressed by any plate I have tried. Prices make no sense for the quality given. Cocktails are always dead or watered down by the time it gets to the table. Managers are absent… Have the owners ever worked in a restaurant before?
The host was so nice!! We really enjoyed talking with her and our server was also very personable. Unfortunately the food was…less than what we expected. The charcuterie board came with four very small portions of cheese, one being pieces of what appeared to be exclusively the rind of a chunk of Bellavitano Espresso. Why is it so loud in here? Yelling at the people seated 2 feet from you doesn't make for a relaxing or romantic dinner. The service was top notch. The food was hot and fresh, but just okay. The Oysters Rockefeller had oysters the size of a peanut and not the traditional flavor described. I was really looking forward to this meal, but will try somewhere different next time.
We have been coming to Shine since they opened and we are never disappointed. The food and service is always excellent, we are proud regulars!! Tonight we had Jen as our server and she could not have been more fabulous. She was so attentive and went above and beyond, she is a great new addition!!
