Shin-Sen-Gumi 2GO in Anaheim is a solid option when you’re craving authentic Japanese flavors to-go. The food tastes very close to their sit-down locations, especially the ramen and yakitori, which were flavorful and satisfying. Portions were generous and everything was packed well for takeout. Do not order anything for pick up here. Ordered 30 min ahead of time today and when I arrived they said it would take another 20 min to fill my order and said they could not cancel my order, so not only did I lose $14 I also didn’t not get my food because they took over an hour to make Ume Shiso. To make matters worse both employees seemed sick and were coughing and had very runny noses and kept touching there nose and touching the food.
Man, where do I even start? This is going to be a long and detailed review — and it’s BAD! I always tell people: don’t always trust Yelp ratings (good or bad) because a lot of them are biased and based purely on personal experiences. I usually trust them about 70%, and the other 30% I prefer to find out for myself.
