He was in too much of a hurry to leave the exam room. He didn't want to explain things or answer more than one or two questions. I just gave up and found a different specialist who was more attentive and caring.
I read all of the other reviews. But, I didn't see any of that. I found Dr. Shin to be very appropriate. He was very nice and explained everything. He answered all of my questions and I didn't feel rushed. The young woman at the front desk was very nice and attentive.
I honestly don't know what's up with a negative reviews. I wanted to chime in and give my personal opinion of my office visit and procedure. I can honestly see how most patients can find Dr Shin dismissive or passive, and hearing the phrase eat more fruits and veggies. I personally believe Dr Shin is a seasoned veteran and definitely knows what he's doing. I just wanted to come in and say thank you for doing a great procedure and telling me what I'm suffering from. First appointment today and before I even seen the doctor or spoke with him about my symptoms, they already had me down for a colonoscopy. Upon the doctor rushing into the room and speaking to me for less than 2 minutes, he immediately ordered a colonoscopy. I wasn’t even there for colon related reasons. A colonoscopy endoscopy doctor who does up to 18 colonoscopies on any given day of the week before he heads down to his home at 1pm in Newport Beach, per his nurse. He couldn’t remove a large polyp from my rectum so he referred it to his very old office partner Dr Garg who wanted to surgically open up my chest/stomach to get at it.
