Refutting Amber post I am refutting Amber T's review, also. Give me a break! I have worked for three clinics in my lifetime as a vet tech. I have doctored with several clinics over the years. I have been in Hoffman Veterinary clinic. The place is well kept; organized; busy; appreciated by many clients; and the animals are well cared for. Amber T, maybe you should go back for a visit. People, please disregard her post.
Could not ask for more.... I was fortunate enough to find Hoffman Vet Clinic back in 1999. Over the years...and 12+ cats (mine, and various rescue animals), I have never found a vet that offers such GREAT service while still looking out as much as possible for my wallet.
Rhonda M. We need more Vets like Dr. Shimek. It is obvious he decided to follow the adage 'how to make a living doing something you love'. This is one compassionate person when it comes to animals. I have heard numerous times how he has given back to the community too, with helping sick and injured pets. Having an exemplary Vet who is loving, caring, and watches out for your bottom dollar.
Best vets in Salem !! I am specifically writing to refute Amber T's review. Sounds like she just walked in off the street. And her first impression was not good. I have been using Dr. Shimek for years. The clinic is always spotless ,and NEVER smells . I do a lot of feral cat rescue work , and Dr. Shimek and his whole staff are AWESOME in dealing with these rescues. Its a super clinic, very professional and knowledgeable and compassionate. Amber T's opinion is way off base. !!
Highly Recommended! A Vet who takes the time to listen, not push medical tests or other pricey items. We have indorr cats and the vet was the firts to mention that we didnt need some tests and or vaccines as often since our cats weren't exposed as outdoor cats. We really enjoyed the staff and never felt the sales pressure. After moving to another part of town we still took our animals to Hoffman.
stinks I was searching for a new vet clinic and walked in to interview the place and found it reaked with animal urine, and the office seemed chaotic. The lobby is very small, so if you brought an animal in that needs it's space, you're out of luck. First impressions are everything and mine was not good.
Great Place for your pet Love this clinic! They a very reasonably priced, never push the spendy uneccessary stuff and the staff is fantastic. The vets don't rush you and the clinic is clean and well maintained.
Best Vet Is Worth A Drive Dr. Shimek has been our vet for 25 yrs & we wouldn't go anywhere else. We don't live in Salem, but we drive there for vet care. He is the most compassionate person and we know our precious pets get the very best care possible. Dr. Shimek always discusses which tests and procedures are necessary and which are optional. Wonderful Vet Clinic! My family has used this clinic for almost 20 years. They have regularly seen 6 of our pets in that time frame and have been extreamly attentive, sensative, and caring. Their prices for services are resonable and the hours they are open are convenient. Both vets in this clinic are honest and knowlegable and the assistants are very helpful and friendly. I recommend this clinic to anyone with pets in the Salem area.
