90 Dollar Shimano (LZR) helmet worn 2 times... Slight and hardly discernable crash caused a crack in styrofoam inside - a FIRST for an MTB helmet for me - and I have been riding XC for 25 years. Was told from the seller, better to send it in for warranty replacement - which requires a 20 dollar shipping fee and a few weeks of waiting (and holding off on riding for another helmet). 12k dollar emtb last made three years ago. Shimano and darfon managed to discontinue the battery and charger. They were kind enough to advise they had them but for warranty only. I can see why 90% of bike manufacturers have switched to Bosch and sram. Customers would love to purchase product that has a shelf life of more that 3 years. Customer service could care less the shelf life of their products/length of time to discontinue vital parts.
