I love shimano products. I fish a lot of shimano reels however I think its a bit rediculous that you cannot purchase parts over the counter. You are forced to order the part online and pay a $10 shipping fee. Even if its just a $1 part. For this reason only I have transitioned to fishing more Daiwa products simply because of the service they provide.
Bought brand new shimano intenza spinning rod. Butt broke off. Mailed it back for warranty. They never even reached out. After a month I called. They had rejected my warranty claim. They said it broke because it looked as if it were in a rod holder trolling. I do not own a rod holder. I have a bass boat. There are no rod holders. Shimano NRX Fishing Rod warranties are terrible. It's a $650.00 fishing with practically no warranty. They wanted the defective rod, Reel Seat bad, shipped back to them. At 7 feet this was $500.00 in shipping. The guides were bad so I broke the rod to 4 feet and shipped back to them . Shipping was $59.00. They told me that they would give me half credit.
