I came today from over 282 miles away to get a room and the hotel was under renovation, no pool, and the office was in a trailer in the parking lot. I told the lady at the makeshift desk in the trailer I wanted to pay cash and not use my credit card she informed my there would be a $250 cash deposit for the room.��. Needless to say I declined that option and went down the street to motel 6 and got a room for $10 cheaper, no $250 cash deposit the hotel wasn’t under renovation and the pool was open. Great deals aren’t always the best, got there knowing construction was going on, no big deal. Got to the room, very out dated. Left to go do what we were in town for. Came back to ants all over the room including the bed. Called “lobby” no answer so I had to back to the lobby. When I told the person in charge what was going on she was was very rude “ you’ve been here since 3 and ur just now seeing them”...... switched our room just for us to get into it and find stuff hanging off the wall and stains all over the bed..... nev... read more
They charge nearly the same price as the Shilo Inn at the Portland Airport and while renovation is underway, they are polishing a turd.
The beds sucked!! Other than that the room wasn't to bed..
Disgraceful Shilo, old, old, old. No microwave or refrigerator in room. This place is in need of updating, carpeting is old, dirty and smells. One step up from a trailer park oh wait it's next to a trailer park.
It's a nice little place. If it had a microwave I would have given it a five.
My Son in law, Daughter and three little ones broke down in Grants Pass September 16. The only hotel with a room was Shilo Inn. I called from WA State to pay for their room and asked for a Veteran's discount. I was refused because I could not be there to occupy the room. One would think a bit of common sense and courtesy could have been applied. But, I'm just a Dad trying to help his family. When I read Shilo Inn's webpage, one of their highlights was how the honor veterans.
They advertise that the pool is heated and it's ice cold!
