This company is dishonest and untrustworthy. They got our hopes up after my husband applied for a car loan via their website and was quickly told that he was approved for up to $60k with $0 down. That was all a LIE just to get us down there. Turns out we were NOT approved for $0 down or apparently anything less that $16k down. Now he has several inquiries on his credit report for nothing. Do not purchase a car or sell to this place customer sservice is very very low ,you've been warned !
I called them asking for buying a car in-person they told me the only option available for that car is online purchasing. So I put deposite on that car online and did all financing and I checked with them. They told me I need to buy insurance, I did as they told so. Then someone called me saying they sold the car that I put deposit on it to another person who bought it in-person!!! They even were so rude like it is my fault! A wise used car purchaser will always have their preferred independent mechanic do a pre-purchase inspection on a used car they are considering. If the agency, like Shift, does not allow you to do this, or interferes with your ability to do this, what are they hiding? Buyer beware. This is an obstructive policy and practice that Shift maintains that needs to change. If not, customers need to learn about this practice to protect themselves.
Worst experience! I put a deposit on a car, made an appointment for the test drive, had money in hand when I was told "it didn't pass inspection", and "we'll deliver it to your house for the inconvenience". So I called the next day for an update and I was told my deposit was refunded and the car is no longer available... what??? I just looked up the same car on their website and it's listed again as "Coming Soon"! They need to change the name of their dealership to Shifty!
