It is so beautiful here! Something new to see each time you go.
This is a wonderful small business, full of beauty and an incredible selection of plants. The owners are extremely helpful and knowledgable. The wines are unique and diverse! This would be a perfect spot any day for a glass of wine and to buy organically grown herbs and flowers. A true gem!
I've been traveling from Pittsburgh to this lovely nursery for over 15 years. There is always something new to purchase and the owners and staff are super friendly and helpful. There are a ton of unique touches everywhere you look. Taste some wine, visit with Merlin the peacock and be inspired by all the beautiful surroundings. Also, be sure to have plenty of space in your car for all the wonderful plants and gifts you'll buy.

I look forward to my spring trip to Shields every year! I find unique plants that are not available at you neighborhood big box stores. The staff is helpful and friendly as well!
Spent a great afternoon in your greenhouses and wine room and shop. It's been a while but I quickly remembered why I love it! Got some awesome plants..great prices and helpful advice. Alex told us about their process for making wine and we sampled and brought home two different kinds. It rained too hard to plant but did get some planning done when we unloaded our treasures. Thanks to the Shield family for a great day!
